Hajni Nagy is a Hungarian photographer based in Budapest. She studied Fashion Photography at the London College of Fashion, where she discovered the magic of photography through analogue techniques. The slower rhythm of film, its poetic beauty, and the quiet anticipation of each frame continue to shape the way she sees the world, and the way she creates today.
Her work began in portrait photography and gradually evolved into a distinctive painterly visual language. Her photography seeks not only what is visible, but also what lies beneath: light, emotion, silence, and the subtle movements of the soul.
Today, women’s portraiture and fine art remain an important part of her creative world, shaped by a deeply personal and artistic approach.
Hajni works with both analogue and digital photography. Returning to film has been a natural extension of her creative journey. It allows her to preserve the authenticity, materiality, and contemplative rhythm of film, qualities that continue to inspire her work. Her photographs invite the viewer to pause for a moment, reconnect with their own emotions, and discover the beauty of presence, vulnerability, and feminine grace.
Nagy Hajni Budapesten élő fotográfus. A London College of Fashion divatfotó szakirányán tanult, ahol az analóg fotográfián keresztül fedezte fel a fényképezés varázsát. A film lassabb ritmusa, költői szépsége és az egyes kockák megszületésének csendes várakozása ma is meghatározza azt, ahogyan a világot látja és alkot.
Munkássága a portréfotográfiából indult, majd fokozatosan egy sajátos, festői képi világ felé fejlődött. Fotográfiája nem csupán azt keresi, ami látható, hanem mindazt, ami mögötte rejtőzik: a fényt, az érzelmeket, a csendet és a lélek finom rezdüléseit.
A női portré és a fine art fotográfia ma is fontos része alkotói világának, ahol a személyes történetek és a nőiesség egy finom, művészi képi világban bontakoznak ki.
Ma egyaránt dolgozik analóg és digitális technikával. Az analóg fotográfiához való visszatérés természetes folytatása volt alkotói útjának: a film anyagszerűsége, hitelessége és szemlélődő ritmusa ma is fontos inspirációs forrás számára.
